Bio:
Jerome Hajjar is Professor CDM Smith of Northeastern University and Head of Department of Civil and Environmental engineering. His research focus on steel and composite steel/concrete structures, earthquake engineering, structural stability, large-scale experimental testing of structures and regional simulation. Jerome Hajjar obtained his Bachelor in Applied mechanics from Yale University in 1982, master in Structural engineering from Cornell University in 1985, and PhD in Structural engineering from Cornell University in 1988. Jerome Hajjar was awarded the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Society of Steel Structures. Jerome Hajjar is a professional engineer of Illinois and Minnesota, and became a member of the NAE in 2022.
