From 2008 to 2021, Tongji University has already successfully held nine Kwang-Hua Forums. The themes of the conferences are selected closely to the hot spot issues in earthquake engineering: Wenchuan Earthquake and Post-quake Reconstruction (2008), Performance-based Design Theory and Code Development for Civil and Structural Engineering (2009), Sustainable Civil Engineering (2010), Fourth Kwang-Hua Forum and Opening Symposium of Tongji Multi-functional Shaking Table Array (2011), and Innovations and Implementations in Earthquake Engineering Research (2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021).
