Bio:

Professor Kuo-Chun Chang, received his B.E. from the National Taiwan University, M.S. and Ph. D. from State University of New York, at Buffalo, United States. Prof. K. C. Chang now serves as a professor and the director of National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering. Previously, he served as the assistant professor and the associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering of the State University of New York at Buffalo, and then, served as the Director in the Center for Earthquake Engineering Research of National Taiwan University and the Section Chief in the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering. His research interests include: Dynamic Structural Tests, Structural Mechanics, Earthquake Resistance Design, Passive Structural Control and Smart Materials and Structures. He has conducted courses in Theory of Structures, Passive Structural Control, Plastic Analysis and Design of Structures. He has very impressive academic achievements and professional experiences.
