Prof. Jack P. Moehle is the Ed and Diane Wilson Presidential Professor of Structural Engineering at UC Berkeley. He was founding Director of the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center, serving 1996-2008. His professional interests are in structural engineering, with emphasis on reinforced concrete and earthquake engineering. He provides engineering consulting and peer review on high rise buildings, existing vulnerable buildings, and highway, mass transit, and water distribution systems. He has played a leading role in the development of building codes and professional engineering guidelines. He is a Fellow of the Structural Engineers Association of California, American Concrete Institute, and American Society of Civil Engineers; and member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering and Académico Correspondiente of the Academia de Ingeniería Mexico.
